Be sure to do what you LOVE! That is the key to a successful exercise schedule.
Our physical bodies are made to move; if we don't we end up like the Tin Man on the Wizard of Oz! Movement helps all our bodies: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. In today's society full of “bus-y-ness or business”, through abuse even towards our self when we feel not “good enough”, through our own confinement to the "list and logic" side of our brain ~ we loose touch, feel fragmented, feel disconnected.
Physical movement helps to bring that all back together.Playful, creative expressions such as acting, drawing, painting, can all help too! However, there is something magical about moving the physical body in a form of activity that brings you joy, especially when in nature. There is a grounding, a connecting that happens ~ then you feel “together”, whole again, and empowered.
Dance is my favorite!Dancing can be extremely healing!
Wikipedia has this to say about Dance:“Dance is an art form that generally refers to movement of the body, usually rhythmic and to music, used as a form of expression, social interaction or presented in a spiritual or performance setting. Dance may also be regarded as a form of nonverbal communication between humans, and is also performed by other animals (bee dance, patterns of behavior such as a mating dance).Gymnastics, figure skating and synchronized swimming are sports that incorporate dance, while martial arts kata are often compared to dances. Motion in inanimate objects may also be described as dances (the leaves danced in the wind), and certain musical forms or genres.”
No matter what your “LOVE” in physical activity is ~ get out there and “MOVE IT”!!!You will be happy you did, especially when the endorphins kick in and you are feeling the euphoric high.
